Jasikan District forms part of the twenty five (25) Municipalities and Districts in the Volta Region of Ghana. The Administrative capital of the District is Jasikan. The District Shares boundaries with the Republic of Togo to the east, to the west with the Volta River, to the north with Biakoye District and to the south with Afadjato District and Kpandu Municipal respectively.

The government in its bid to provide and improve upon the standard of living of the general citizenry has identified the gaps in human development, private sector growth and good governance and is embarking on initiatives and interventions that will address these gaps permanently.

Some of these steps are focused on the expansion of the school Feeding Programme, the National Youth Employment Programme and the total re-engineering and reshaping of the National Health Insurance Programme as promised in the manifesto of the NDC.< ... more »
